PRESENTING OUR FIRST NORTHEAST FIESTA

A glimpse from our presentation ‘Northeast Fiesta’ performed at the Saptarang Festival 2013, organised by the Directorate of Cultural Affairs, Govt. Of Maharashtra in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. Of Maharashtra in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Believing in contemporary presentation, this unique performance was an amalgamation of Kathak with major performing dance arts of northeast India like Gayan Bayan, Chali Nritya, Poong Cholom, Manipuri Raasleela and Bihu. I still cannot forget this amazing moment filled with appreciation, applause and admirable hues for the love of our concert in addition to northeast India. I must convey my gratitude to Sri Suresh Shetty, then Honourable Minister for Health, Govt. Of Maharashtra for all support, he extended towards us and also Sri Debasish Sharma, Resident Commisioner of Assam Bhawan (Mumbai) provided for the best possible local assistance for the entire team of 16 members. Such moments bring in so much of joy to my thoughts and spirits, especially when a new concept is accepted, appreciated and blessed. Truly wonderful!
